It seems that fall has made another appearance this morning. With the morning low just barely pushing 70° and a dew point in the 60’s… I could learn to get accustomed to sitting on my porch again.
On the front porch, it’s been a little noisy this morning. For some reason the train going by on the railroad tracks decided he needed to keep tooting his horn.. not the long drawn out air horn sound a train normally makes it a crossing.. but short staccato beeps on the air horn. I’m not even sure why he was doing that, as there are no crossings where he was tooting…
The birds in my neighborhood are very active this morning. The hummingbirds are still buzzing.. The Jays are jaying.. The chickadees and the titmice are chittering. I’ve even spotted a Downy woodpecker on the magnolia tree The only thing missing are the Cardinals.
I have a breakfast taco or two and another cup of coffee calling my name… So, y’all stay cool and I’ll catch you all on the other side.
