Sunday March 5
it’s another beautiful and cool morning on the back porch. There’s a bit of ground fog but the temperature is 51°. The sun is bright with not a cloud in the sky. It’s a gorgeous Sunday morning.
You know it’s a fallacy, a youthful idiocy that seems to prevail throughout time… a warping in the mind I’ve been afflicted by in the past… We all grow out of it. Especially as the aches and pains of life pile up… the knees… the back… It comes to pass that living forever ends up not feeling like a great idea. But the song by Billy Joe Shaver… That really is a good thing. And when it was playing yesterday on my computer I had to back up and listen to it again…
When this old world is blown asunder
And all the stars fall from the sky
Remember, someone really loves you
We’ll live forever, you and I
I’m gonna live forever
I’m gonna cross that river
I’m gonna catch tomorrow, now
Well my coffee cup is calling… Y’all have a great day and I’ll catch y’all the other side.
Hadn’t seen that performance from Billy Joe. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing it, Gary. Take care!
