Tuesday February 28th
There was a bit of fog this morning, though it’s cleared already. And it’s a bit cooler today, 67°… But the humidity is up.
The spring weeds are popping up all over the yard. Even though the grass was mowed a week ago there are mounds of fresh green and growth covering the ground. The oak tree is out front have already gone from pale yellowish green to spring green. The red bug tree at the front of the yard is showing a nice bit of pink flowers.
And the underpass under the railroad on the bypass is now covered on the sides with blooming bluebonnets. And though I don’t have written records to prove it, I have to say it feels early this year. And truthfully, I’m not one to wish for an early spring leading to an early summer… I’m much prefer to have spring last a while.
Well… The grandkids are on the bus and my coffee cup is empty. So I’m headed in for another cup… I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
I just mentioned the underpass bluebonnets to someone, and here they are! Thanks for the tip!
