Thursday
The rain swept in yesterday around rush hour. It really wasn’t as bad as it looked on radar. And it cleared earlier than the prognosticators expected… But this morning is dark and gloomy, damp and chilly… With a temperature in the low 50s and a dampness that chills to the bone I think fall has definitely arrived.
And, it’s really a bit strange, a whole lot of leaves have already fallen… Not our normal early fall. Of course we’ve had some pretty strong winds in the past few weeks helping to comb the leaves from the limbs. As a matter of fact, twice in the past month The yard has been full of dead twigs and limbs shaken from the trees by the high winds.
As the day lightens, I can see the north winds effects upon the trees out back… The crowns are swaying, the leaves are fluttering, the ceiling fans on the back porch are lazily turning.
According to the prognosticators, today’s temperature is only going to rise 10°. Then fall down into the 40s overnight. For this neck of the woods that’s almost winter temperatures…
Well, I have a video to put together… So, y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our dysfunctional nation and the world…
I’ll catch y’all down the road…
