Monday
I’m up early this morning, a preview of school mornings to come. The sun hasn’t broken the horizon yet. There’s a mist hanging over the ground. The humidity is high, the temperature not as much.
For the next few days, I’ll be rising early and getting the granddaughter school for a preview “camp”.
The prognosticators are all up in the air about an early August cold front headed our way… Though, they’re unsure as to whether it’ll actually pass us here on the coast. It will be nice to at least be touched by a cold front in the middle of summer. Though cold in these instances is a relative term.
My friend Linda has a post up this morning on her blog, The Task at Hand, about childhood memories of coffee drinking, death, and near death. It’s a well woven tale and everyone should check out…
And my buddy, Gary Myers, has a nice well thought out offering today over at Redtree Times… Another good way to start the morning. He shares the following quote
Well, I’m ready for my second cup of coffee… And I won’t be saucer and blowing it. Though, like Linda that’s how I learned to drink coffee. But I will be contemplating the effects and the nuances of lives well lived… So, I’ll stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for all of us which I’ll use a little divine intervention about now… But I have a feeling what it’s really going to take is a divine mandate…
What a nice surprise, to come home for lunch and find you enjoyed my post enough to share it. Thanks!
A lot of times I’ve wanted to share your stuff… I’m just afraid of sounding like a fanboy… Both you and Gary entertained me this morning and made me think deep thoughts before my first cup.
