Why is it that when it looks like winter it feels like spring, and when it looks like spring it feels like winter. The conundrum of Texas gulf coast weather… It’s bright and sunny out today. It’s also breezy. And when the temperature is 42°, breezy’s pretty cold.

I missed posting yesterday due to oversleeping and birthday excitement amongst my granddaughter. At 10 years of age, she just loves birthdays… Even when they’re not her own. I think I threw her for a loop when she asked me what kind of cake I wanted for my birthday and I told her cheesecake. It didn’t stop her from getting the first slice.

I know my requested dinner was a bit strange to most people… Potato soup and cornbread with some bean soup for my wife. It’s been my requested birthday dinner for most of my life. Something about the flavors that just brings back my childhood.

Well my first cup of coffee is about gone, breakfast is calling my name, so I guess it’s time to move on. Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our nation and the world.
