It’s warmish but blustery. Birds are singing. Chickens are doing whatever it is chickens do when they talk to each other. There’s a bright orange glow to the east as the sun lights the bottoms of the clouds that cover the sky.
The temperature right now is 64°, but the wind chill is probably dropping the feels like into the upper 50s. And even though the cloud cover makes it look like rain, the prognosticators have the chances of precipitation very low.
We watched the gray fox eat last night on the back porch quite a while. He seems partial to a fruit and nut mix bird seed with a bit of cat food mixed in. Who would have thought.
A couple of crows are cawing their way across the neighborhood. Trying to scavenge breakfast wherever they can. Not finding anything around my yard. Sometimes the pickings are good, sometimes not.
We have all of the normal suspects flying around the yard these days, even some of Linda’s Robbins have made an appearance. There are still Cardinals stopping at the feeders, chickadees, wrens, tittmouses, phoebes, goldfinches, yellow rump warblers, flocks of starlings, a whole lot of activity just like every winter.
Well, it’s time to go in and start doing my weekly chores. Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray. Pray for the nation, pray for the world, pray for everyone.
Have a wonderful day.
