It’s 36° on the back porch this morning. But it’s sunny and bright and it’ll hit 60° before it starts back down. There’s not a cloud in the sky and the sun is brighter than it should be on a Saturday morning.
The gray fox visited again last night. I guess we’re on it’s feeding schedule now. It’s kind of neat having a fox come to your back porch each night.
All day long American goldfinches by the dozens come and go from the feeders. The occasional cardinal pair also shows up. Chickadees and tittmouses come and go. An occasional appearance by a yellow rump warbler is fun. A Rufus hummingbird stopped at the nectar feeder. We only see Rufus hummingbirds in the winter time here, and not every winter.
It’s time for me to get my first cup of coffee. So I think I’ll end this muse.
Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our nation. I’ll catch you on the other side. Have a great day.
The big news here is that ‘my’ robin still is around. I read that occasionally robins will migrate solo, so my worries about it ‘losing its flock’ probably are misplaced. Now, on to the days chores, so I can go play tomorrow.
Linda, have fun tomorrow… And I hope your robin hangs around.
I actually saw a couple of robins yesterday.
