‘Tis a frosty morn out this day. An appropriate way to start the final month of 2020. My weather app says it is 30 degrees outside and I believe it. All of my temperature sensors are on porches about the house and they average 3 to 4 degrees warmer.

This little temperature swing should bring on the final flush of fall color. The rising sun on the red oak already looks more colorful.

After days of blustery winds, it’s completely still out this morning… not a breeze stirring, not a leaf fluttering.

Birds are coming and going from the back porch since I’m sitting inside with the warmth. The fire in the fireplace last evening even felt season appropriate.

The funny thing about this weather pattern is the weather app call for today to be “much warmer” than yesterday even though it starts out at the lowest low of the season so far. The high today is projected to be almost 70 degrees…
