I now recall the real reason for the umbrella. Even with the alarm going of at 6:30 the sun comes up pretty quickly once we are back on “standard” time. It takes the umbrella to keep the rising sun from my eyes.

The first thing I heard this morning was a train rumbling thru town, whistle blowing at every crossing, running faster on a Sunday morning than it would during the week… in a big hurry to get somewhere else down the rails. Other than occasional vehicle on the road, it’s been relatively quiet. Even the birds aren’t singing with much exuberance.

My favorite anole is running around on the fabric of the open umbrella. How quiet must it be to hear him scampering around as he stalks insects for breakfast.

Looking anywhere towards the sun shows of the haziness of the day. As the sun glistens on the dewdrops in the grass and on tree leaves.

My stomach is telling me it doesn’t care what the clock says, it’s ready to be fed… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. Go vote. Wear a mask. Wash your hands often.
