It’s a ceiling fan, fall morning coffee muses.
And the countdown to Christmas is on. Turkey day decorations have migrated back into storage. Christmas decorations are out all over the house. The trees are up and lit, but bare of decor… ’tis a battle yet to come. It’s the time of year when the postal service goes to work for Amazon.
Already the smiley packages are stacking up at the Post Office. This is when my bedroom takes on the look of a mall store back room with boxes and wrapping paper in piles around the walls… waiting for Mrs. Elf to wrap and tag and put them under the tree.
Even the elf is on the shelf watching the actions of children from 6 to 96. Reporting back to Santa every night and getting a North Pole refresh before hightailing it back to another hiding place to spy out nice and naughty….
Funny about Thanksgiving dinner… I think I ate more on the day after than I did on the day itself. For some reason, cooking for six to eight hours isn’t conducive of an appetite. Maybe that’s the answer to weight loss. Just spend everyday cooking massive amounts of food you really don’t want to eat afterwards. Do you think if a I wrote a book about it it would sell?
You know fall has really arrived when you start seeing flocks of birds wheeling thru the sky. Almost every morning now I see a bigger flock of some species flying into the pecans out back. Off course, they’re behind the lines so I can’t get a look to see what they are…
It’s time to get a move on…
