Friday, November 24

It’s cool, it’s still, it’s a Black Friday morning coffee muses.

It’s almost noisy this morning with birdsong. The diversity this morning is more along the lines of what I’m used to at this time of the year.

It should be cool out here on the back porch, but the sun has warmed this protected pocket of concrete up to almost spring like temperatures.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving yesterday. I know we did. My first attempt at smoked turkey must have been a success. By the time I turned around all that was left was a drumstick, a thigh, a half a wing and a couple of pieces of breast meat. So my leftover meal will be mostly dressing. I do so love a dressing sandwich…

It’s gonna be a long weekend of changing out the seasonal decorations throughout the house. Thanksgiving goes into storage, and Christmas goes up all over the house.

It’s getting harder and harder to hide from the sun of a morning. It’s trip south is making my effort to stay in the shade of the corner column nigh impossible.

I find myself with binoculars at my eyes more than tablet in my hand so I guess it’s time to hit the publish button and move on…
