Now we wait for fall to return morning coffee muses.

Today the sun doesn’t feel quite as pleasant. The heat feels more like summer less like a beautiful fall day. Though, fall it is. There is a steady fall of leaves from the red oak. Already since yesterday’s Deere meditations, the ground has been recarpeted with fallen leaves. So now the yearly race is on… Will it manage to hold on to enough leaves till color change comes to be my personal “red tree”?

Other than that, the grass is still green, the sky is still blue, the birds are still quiet, and the butterflies are attacking the butterfly weed. Yesterday I spotted my first phoebe of the fall season. A phoebe, according to Google, is a tyrant flycatcher. A highly appropriate bird for America today. Though, I don’t know of another signal tyrant as brightly coloured as the orange headed one in Washington.

(Two thousand words of political rant deleted. See I can agree to disagree… And I will disagree)

If you wonder what I disagree with… just read anything that comes out of our White House, our Congress, or our Supreme Court now that Republicans have hijacked our republic.

Have a great day all.
