A Harvey Wet And Windy Morning Coffee Muses
We had a very long day in the Med Center yesterday watching the news of Harvey as he came ashore. And crazily, we were there right up until he hit the shore. Driving home was almost pleasant due to the lack of traffic. The rain wasn’t too hard and the winds were a bit gusty, but all things considered, not bad.
If you look closely, you will see the tree limb that was down when we pulled in to the driveway last night a 8 pm. Overnight the winds have moved it a bit because when we came in last night I was able to drive around it to the left.
Above you see Lake Boyd, our low spot in the front yard that fills up every time it rains. I guess it will last a bit longer than normal…
Breakfast calls…
Good your trip was uneventful — more or less. It’s raining like crazy over here, but that’s going to be SOP for a while. In South Shore marina, the water’s still a couple of feet below the top of the bulkheads, so there’s still drainage happening. I’ve got coffee myself, and am going to try and get caught up with some cyber chores before the power goes out (while hoping it doesn’t).
