I find myself in agreement with GC Meyers on the subject of August… But being in Texas and not New York, I find myself adding in July and September. Oh… How I hold out hope for an early autumn on my way to a mild winter.
As the back yard weather station has reported weeks and weeks of 100°+ feel like temperatures, I find myself living life behind my office window… Dreaming dreams of summer past when this was the view from the back porch…
Now I watch the world burn up a day at a time. The grasses, so lush from spring’s abundance, now withered and brown. Tree leaves rain down with the slightest breeze as trees shed their green to conserve precious moisture.
