For some reason this year my wife has spring break off. It makes no sense, she could never get spring break off when we, you know, actually had kids off on spring break. But this year she has spring break off. Guess what? Grandson #2 is all ours each and every afternoon until Friday as his mom goes to work. So mostly it will be a staycation type of deal.
The only real change this week will be as I spend a bit more time interacting with her, I’ll be spending a little less time interacting online with this blog and my other blogs…I’ll be back next week in full interactive mode though, ready or not.
I must admit that having a spring break when the weather is actually spring like is beautiful. Though many of you would consider our spring to be summer. The outside temps are pushing 73° and the sun is warm but the breeze is cool. Yesterday I had to break down an d fire up the Deere for the first time this year. It was getting to the point after last weeks rains that I was losing #2 in the stands of yellow clover growing in clumps around the yard. The immediate yard is mowed, but the side yard and the pasture still need to get their first trim of the season. I did manage to run around our walking path even though it wasn’t really growing that high with all of the foot traffic over the last few months.
I just took a walk out back and this is what I saw…
