Have you ever Googled your own name? No you say…Go ahead do it now I’ll wait…

For those of you who answered yes…Did you find yourself? On what page? How many times was there a link to your information.

You know you’ve been online too long and in too many places when you fill the first page of Google search results and you aren’t even a celebrity but you share a name with one. Twenty-one hits within the first two-hundred with ten in the top ten.

The other real competitor I have is Gary Boyd Roberts. He is an author of genealogy books who shows up in almost every search I have ever done on my name…Multiple times. Though lately, Gary Boyd the Scottish Golfer has been giving me a run for my money.

So is privacy dead? Since almost all of the hit’s on me are to sites I own or put my info on, I would say my privacy level is right where I left it.
