… Heat advisory in effect until 7 PM CDT Thursday…The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a heat advisory… which is in effect until 7 PM CDT Thursday.
A heat advisory has been issued for two straight days of the heat index reaching above 108 degrees across southeast Texas. The heat index has reach above 108 degrees across the Houston area and other part of southeast Texas and these same conditions are expected for Thursday.

So here we are in June…Feeling like it’s August and being told we can expect a light tropical weather year. If this keeps up you are going to see all of us wishing and hoping for some tropical moisture to keep from drying up and blowing away on the afternoon winds that come blowing in off the Gulf of Mexico. Sadly they don’t bring any rain with them. I broke down yesterday and turned on the sprinkler for a bit just there around our back yard where we spend a bit of time each day…
