Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, launched the attack Saturday and repeated it twice Sunday, signaling a new strategy by John McCain’s presidential campaign to go after Obama’s character.

“The comments are about an association that has been known but hasn’t been talked about,” Palin said as she boarded her plane in Long Beach, Calif. “I think it’s fair to talk about where Barack Obama kicked off his political career, in the guy’s living room.”

Later, at an Omaha rally, Palin elaborated on her attack, claiming one of Obama’s advisers had described Obama and Ayers as “friendly.”

“The comments are about an association that has been known but hasn’t been talked about,” Seems to me this was talked about quite a bit about a year ago or so. It was all over the MSM and the RWM. So if it hasn’t been talked about…It must have been only in Alaska that the story wasn’t discussed.

The straight talk express has made a turn to the dark side and it doesn’t look like it will be coming out into the light for the duration…Too bad. John McCain had develpoed a reputation that stood him in good stead for the last decade. Now it’s just the politics of character assisination, the same game just another generation of operatives. I really have to be proud of everything Texas has given the country…Politics of the negative…Tried and True Blue American.

  3. Et tu Gary? A duck is a duck is a duck. I’ve been vacationing in Floyd, VA this past week, but I’ll read your message of understanding and get back to you. BTW – I hope you understand the difference between talking points and bashing.
