Save it for a rainy day…
Reacquiring the daily blogging habit after any layoff is tough. Doing it at the end of winter when you are just marking time while the season rolls over is really tough. Last weeks run in with the flu(?) put me in that place.
Five days during which I felt like doing absolutely nothing more than moving from the bed to couch to bed to couch. I only turned on the computer long enough each day to check email.
So here I am with a hole in the daily posting rate…and with nothing much to say for myself. I feel a lot like the television season…Wandering aimlessly through a writer’s strike hoping nobody notices that the quality of the shows hasn’t really changed. Catching the occasional political add and still finding myself amazed at the confluence of events that has brought the Democratic Primary season to a confrontation in Texas (and Ohio). Who would have foreseen this when all of the states were jockeying for earlier dates to try to one up each other.
Here on the Gulf Coast of Texas we are showing our St. Patrick’s day colors early. So of course, that means today breaks on one of our colder temperatures for the year…Sometimes you just have to wonder at the sense of humor shown by Mother Nature…My thermometer is reading 37° this morning. For around here that’s pretty cold.
It’s time to roll…
