Well the redbirds are back this morning. The kitchen door is open again with outside temperatures in the mid 60’s. The skies are cloudy…no sun showing this morning and rains are coming according  to all of the prognosticators…The weekend will be…unusually turbulent. I guess the pattern had to come to an end sometime, but rainy workweeks followed by beautiful weekends can be habit forming…

I spent my morning reading the political “news and analysis” so I’m running late. I will say this though, I will support whoever the Democrats put out there, but I am finding it harder and harder to feel happy about the Clintons. I have always liked listening to Bill when he gets on one of his rambling policy discussions, but he ain’t discussing policy anymore.

I guess I’ve always felt that America was better than most other places because we held ourselves to a higher standard. In the past couple of decades we seem to have lowered the standard too far. In the past eight years we have lowered it too far. Now Bill wants to take it back to the school yard…get over it.

Do I feel Obama  is the perfect candidate? Probably not. But I know how he made me feel when he gave that first speech at the convention a few years ago. I said it then and I’ll stand by it now…That man will be the first Black President this country will elect. At the rate we are going, it could be sooner than I could have imagined such a short time ago…
