One of the first blog’s I began to read regularly a couple of years ago was Patry Francis’ Simply Wait. I kept returning because of the finely crafted personal stories she told on her blog. She was one of the few bloggers I know who will almost always cause me to read her blog entries out loud to my wife. Even during the past year when cancer of my vocal chords had me reading in a raspy whisper, her stories would require that I do so. So it was a great shock to read that just when things were going her way life would throw her a curve…She reported last fall that she had an aggressive form of cancer herself.
Even as she went through treatments, she managed to continue to post her special observations. You really have to go back and read them to get the full picture of what makes this lady so special. I won’t say that she can always see the silver lining around that black cloud, but she seems to see it more than most. And the special thing is, she can communicate that vision better than just about anyone I have ever read.
When I read that some of her writer friends were planning a blog party for the release date of her book to paperback I felt compelled to add my two cents. My email this morning brought this news from Amazon…
