A muse about a lack of muse…

The level of concentration that has been required for the past few weeks at my day job has had consequences on the level of posting going on at this blog. By the time I get home each day all I want to do is vegetate. By the time I drag myself out of the bed each morning I feel like I am already running behind.

It must be an effect of the season and the weather because it seems to be the predominate mood of everyone I come in contact with. As usual for this winter, the weather all this week has been wet and gloomy. This state is reflected in the commute all week, wet roads  and thousands of cars all heading in more or less the same direction tend to bump into each other on a more frequent schedule than otherwise. This causes backups which lead to frayed tempers which leads to more bumps…which leads to more frayed tempers….etc., etc., etc…

On another train of thought, my wife getting out of bed in the middle of the night for a potty run woke me. When I rolled over in bed and glanced toward the clock on the nightstand it was glowing 2:22. I though that was a bit strange in view of my muse last year about waking on a regular basis and seeing the clock read 3:33. Then it hit me that during the earlier nights we were in daylight saving time and the 3:33 was actually just 11 minutes later than 2:22. So other than an interesting congruence of numbers and time is there any real significance?
