The only difference between this morning and every other morning since school started is the addition of clouds to the sky. Which means there’s additional color in the sunrise.
But trust me when I say it’s hot as hell here this month. It seems like every afternoon the indoor outdoor thermometer on the bar is telling me that the temperature on the back porch has passed 105° regularly… Way too regularly for any kind of comfort.
I mean check that out.. it’s not even sunrise and the heat index is 96°.
Well, this weekend was a bit of a family reunion for me.. My brothers and my sister got together with my mother to celebrate her 90 years on this planet.
We all got together at a restaurant in Pasadena for a meal on Saturday night. My clan alone totaled over a dozen people. In total there were six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren in attendance.
And in other news… The drought continues, though there is a slight chance of rain in tomorrow’s forecast.. which we need badly.
Yeah it’s time… Y’all stay cool and I’ll catch you all on the other side…
