Friday
Baby it’s cold outside… At least for the Texas Gulf Coast it’s cold. Morning temperature at 8:30 a.m. was 27°. At least we don’t seem to have ice or sleet or even snow.
As usual, at any hint of weather… The school district here shut the schools down today. So everybody, other than my better half, are still covered up in bed… They’re all enjoying an unexpected, unplanned 3-day weekend.
And, as you can see from the photos, the clouds are still heavy and hanging low. The prognosticators are not predicting that they will leave us before tomorrow. So, for once, it’s going to feel like it looks…
And in honor of this cold and gloomy day… Here’s some music to enjoy…
Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and say a prayer for our dysfunctional country and the world… I’ll catch y’all on the other side…
Instead of warm and dry, we’ve got cold and dry — and it is cold. But, the grid’s in good shape, my critters have an extra portion of food, and even the possum has shown up to enjoy some peanuts. By Sunday I’ll be able to move the plants back outside, and on we’ll go! Enjoy the day!
So far the temperature has only risen a degree or so… It’s still below 30 degrees. And I don’t see the overnight lows getting into the 40’s until late next week… Winter is here.
