Once again from summer to not… What a way to run a climate! This morning as the sun comes up the temperature is still dropping… so much so, that the sun is well up before the overnight low is reached. The wind out of the north has a bit of a bite to it… Winter is back. For how long? Does it even matter? I just want to enjoy this break from the almost summerlike temperatures we been seeing for the past month(s).

Yesterday’s precursor rain, before the front arrived with the cooler weather, left water standing in the drive for most of the afternoon. We needed it.

As I wandered about I noticed last weeks cold had burned the leaves on the angel trumpet without touching the multitude of blooms hanging down… Also, the star magnolia is blooming on one limb only. Our crazy weather has the plants confused too.

Sunday I was listening to a download of Joe’s Roadhouse radio show from 2005. It was a recording of a live show by Guy Forsyth being played on KPFT Radio in Houston. A number of these shows I downloaded back then have been bouncing around on an endless number of hard drives I’ve had over the last 17 years… And while listening this song caught my ear…
