Tuesday

After I woke grandkid number one this morning, I stepped out on the back porch into what felt like a return to summer… The temperature was above 75°, and the humidity was pushing 100%. Off in the distance lightning flashed, and thunder rumbled softly.

For the first bus run raid began to fall as the thunderstorms moved overhead. They weren’t large showers, and they didn’t rain heavily… But I was glad, that I thought to move my car up closer to the house before the rain started. Still that first trip out to drive to the road for the bus was wet.

By the time I had woken grandkid number two and made the trip out to the road again for the bus, the rains and moved past and I shot the photos of the backyard for this morning’s video.

Now an hour later, and the clouds have moved back in. And or showers or moving up off the Gulf of Mexico. According to the prognosticators, this will be the pattern for the next 10 days. Though over the weekend, they are fortelling of the overnight lows dropping back into the 60s.

Well, I have chores to do, breakfast to eat, and assorted other odds and ends to take care of. So y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our dysfunctional nation and the world.

Catch y’all on the other side…
