I slept a bit late this morning since my daughter is home to start her kids off with school. Stepping out on the porch I was greeted with overcast skies. Looking at the radar I can see these are the outer bands of Hurricane Delta starting to move into our area…

We may be getting the early rain bands, and a bit of a warm up, but, so far at least, we aren’t seeing any wind. I guess that’s to be expected with a storm 450 miles SSE of Galveston. It’s just something else to pay attention to for te next couple of days.

We got our internet back yesterday. There’s nothing like being confined to your phone for the news… but we are back in the modern world, and I was able to catch last night’s debate/press avail.

I have two impressions that stand out. One, why can’t Republican men follow the rules they agreed to and shut up when their turn is over? And two, what’s with Republica and their disdain for rules about masks. During the Presidential Debate all of Trump’s family removed their masks in disregard to the established rules. Last night the Vice-president’s*** wife removed hers. All I can say is, after showing their disregard of the rules, does anyone really believe they care about the rule of law?

And what the hell is all of the interrupting and running over your time? It’s kinda like Trump wanting 12 more years… I feel he must think that if he had 16 years he could actually accomplish the things he promised to do in his first term. Sadly for us, it would mean turning America into a real life “Handmaid’s Tale”. That’s not the way I wanted to live out my “golden years”.

Well, we’re starting to get a lite but steady breeze out of the east. Just barely enough to move the leaves. And, my coffee’s gone and I need a refill. So… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. And plan to vote. My early voting begins next week and I plan to be there.
