I’m out on the back porch once again. With the ceiling fans moving the air, it’s comfortable. The birds are filling the air with song a bit more than yesterday. Even had a couple of crows cawing from a sentinel pine next door. And Linda, there’s even a squirrel playing out in the middle of the yard next door.

Looking to the south.

I suppose it would be a bit more uncomfortable if the sun wasn’t being totally hidden by the cloud layer. The prognosticators are foretelling of a better than average chance of rain this afternoon.

I wonder if this is what it was like for my maternal grandparents, coming up on retirement in the late 60’s. Watching the evening news as American cities burned and our citizens died by the thousands. Is this what the president* had in mind when he promised to make America great again?

Looking southeast.

Time to head in and do something about breakfast. Catch y’all later.
