A wintery looking start to a wintery mix of a day morning coffee muses.

Looking out the back door of our guest haus this morning, the wind is blowing, rain is moving through, the temperature is close to the maximum for the day. I hope we manage to get packed up without getting caught in too many showers…

It appears we timed our departure just right. The predicted low for tonight is 27°. Even at home it’s supposed to be in the mid 30’s. Winter has arrived.

I have the Nikon along for the trip, but with the weather being what it’s been I haven’t really pulled it out all that often. Mostly it’s just been use the phone.

I am looking forward to getting back to my own bed and shower though. This little old house has way more floor level changes than I’m comfortable with.

Yesterday we made a loop up to Mason and back through Llano. This time we drove back by Enchanted Rock. Sherry wanted to stop by Wildseed again, so I planted myself by the fireplace in the Tasting Room and read awhile.

One of the things we did in Llano was stop at the city park on the river. The damage from the floods is still evident everywhere you looked…

You could tell they had been working at cleaning everything up, but a lot of work needs to be done still.

Breakfast calls… Then it’s on the road again… Heading Home.
