Thursday, October Twenty-fifth

Another overcast beginning to a fall day in paradise… morning coffee muses.

It’s a bit warmer still this morning… upper sixties to start the day. Cardinals are cheeping all over the yard. It seems their self imposed exile has ended.

I haven’t seen a hummingbird in days. So evidently they caught the last cold front south.

The clouds are thinning just a bit as I sit here. The sun is becoming a defined risk through the cloud layer. I see patches of blue between the overall grayness that is my sky. A nice breeze is causing the drying leaves on the red oak to mumble secrets just below the level of understanding.

The textures of color green in my landscape leave me in wonder. It’s almost Halloween,  yet still it looks of early summer.

Watching the news every day, I find myself wondering how Trump supporters can convince themselves that the truth is a lie and his lies are the truth. I cannot comprehend how that’s even possible.

As he makes things up on the fly, with no evidence that anything is real, they eat it up. Chanting “lock her up, lock her up”, they show a hatred that amazes me in its total lack of a reality based comprehension of the law.

If we are going to save our once great country from sliding over the abyss, people need to exercise their right to cast a ballot, now and in every election to come.

Doing my part to make America great again.
