Tuesday, October Twenty-third

Blustery, rainy, and cool… strong north breezes blowing rain on this autumn morning coffee muses.

This would be a front porch morning, except for the fact that the rain is blowing onto the front porch this morning. Better to be sitting here on the back porch protected from the blowing rain. It’s still quite cool, even here, out of the reach of the wind.

A rainy fall morning is a whole different kind of day. The sound of rain on leaves marks all other sounds this morning.

An occasional drop of mist blows in and hits my face… cold, wet, a reminder of what could be my world today.

Watching, I am reminded that other than an umbrella, I don’t own any rain wear. Nothing to keep the rain off should I have to go out in the rain. In my younger years, that would have bothered me. Now, not so much.

As it is, I think now might be a good time to abandon my rocker in favor of my easy chair inside…
