Tuesday, October Ninth

Still cooling into fall on this morning coffee muses.

The sun came up for a few minutes before hiding behind a cloud.

Traffic is fairly heavy this morning on the road out front. Even the thump of tires on expansion joints down on the bypass is carrying to my ears. I don’t know if that says something about the quietness of the morning or the sound carrying quality of the air.

Watching my neighbors go to work is something I’ve become used to. About half of my neighbors do work, the rest are like me… enjoying retirement one day at a time.

As we approach the top of the hour, the traffic is lightening. Not too many people must work close.

Ahhhhhh, but then again, someone is flying down the road on their way to work… must have overslept.

My muse is lite this morning. My coffee’s gone. Time to go back in the house and quit feeding the mosquitoes.

Tomorrow brings our first cool front of the season.
