July Twenty-sixth, Thursday

A pleasant start, at least in front of the fan, to what will be another hot morning coffee muses.

The sun rising over the neighbor’s house causes a flare of radiance to fill the view. On the other side, a dog patrols the fence line.

Suddenly, I’m hit with a fit of sneezing. Allergies kicking in for an unknown source.

The morning is quiet. A green anole slinks along the floor. Birdsong fills the trees. The Mississippi Kite soars overhead.

The first bird on the feeder today was a male cardinal, followed immediately by a tufted titmouse and a Carolina wren.

Words are scarce today… time spent enjoying the moment not so much. I think I’ll just continue in the moment… until the sun warms the back of my head anyway.
