This morning the pre-dawn light brightened a chili start to the day. The low for the night bottom doubted 39° according to my phone.
The morning light tends to add more color to the trees than is actually there.. strangely the predominant color around here as we close in on December is still green.
Sitting on the front porch this morning, I heard loud knocks coming from the pecan tree. Looking around I was able to spot a family of Pileated woodpeckers searching for breakfast on the trunk and limbs.
