According to the readings on the weather app it shouldn’t feel this pleasant on the front porch. But with the fan blowing, it’s almost chill.
According to my phone, it’s a comfortable 77°.
Over the past few days we’ve had a massive influx of hummingbirds. It seems the fall migration has kicked into high gear just a bit early this year. In the pre-dawn light they look like giant shadow insects buzzing all around.
New discovery.. do not try to dictate to your phone when you are sitting in front of a fan. The phone just doesn’t seem to be able to catch what you’re saying with air blowing across the microphone… Though, when sitting inside music playing in the background doesn’t seem to impinge on its ability to capture the words you say.
Okay, I’ll try this again with the fan aimed away from me a bit. It seems to work much better…
It seems that even the birds are happier. Now that August is over. I sure hear more bird song of a morning than I did just a week ago.
Another thing I am waiting for is the season to progress far enough that the sun does not shine in my eyes as I sit on the front porch. It will probably be a week or two before the sun’s path transitions the house.
Well the Bus has come and gone.. so I hear breakfast calling my name. And since the forecast high for today is once again above 100°. I’ll leave you with this wish .. Y’all stay cool, and I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
