2023 Day 162

Sunday June 11th

It’s that time of year. Where the sun comes up around the corner of the house. If it wasn’t for the temperatures, I would prefer this time of year.. where the sun doesn’t blind me as it rises from the horizon.

Last evening we had a massive wind blowing ahead of a line of thunderstorms.. we got the wind, not the thunderstorms. The edge of the line sled right over our house. Evidently the rain stayed just to our north and east. And so, this morning I face clear skies and warm temperatures…

Luckily, there is a slight breeze. And just for the record.. The ceiling fans are on high. Even so, now that the sun is up, I won’t last on the back porch for long.

This morning there appears to be more rail traffic than bypass traffic. It’s funny how on quiet mornings, the train whistles carry for miles and miles. I can hear that whistle blowing all the way to Santa Fe… Texas that is.. Santa Fe, Texas.

Well… The coffee pot should be finished brewing.. so I think I’ll head in and pour that first cup. Y’all have a great Sunday and I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
