Monday March 27th

Another very foggy morning in SE Texas. It’s 69° this morning. And very very muggy.
Over the weekend my wife and I were talking and my ex employer came up. During COVID they shut down their operations in Houston and I was wondering what they were doing now. The quickest way I could think of to check up on them was to check on the Offshore Technology Conference website..
I guess a bit of history would explain that. I worked my first OTC in 1974. And I worked most of them through 2008. So I went over and pulled up a PDF of the exhibitor’s manual and had a walk down memory lane. It’s been 15 years since I looked at an OTC exhibitors manual. And other than updated selections of furniture ( and higher prices ) not much has changed.
Though I did not see anything about rental exhibits. And that was what I spent my last quarter century working on.
It was a fun and informative trip into the past..
Y’all have a good day and I’ll catch y’all on the other side…
