Friday March 17th
The world outside looks green. But that’s appropriate for St Patrick’s Day…
This morning it’s raining. The temperature is 46° but the wind chill has it feeling like 40°. And there’s a steady north wind of at least 15 mph with gusts of 25 mph.
So once again winter.. at least winter as we know it here in Southeast Texas.. has returned. Though even the red oak out back is showing a fringe of green along the mostly barely limbs. About the only trees that aren’t showing any grain at the moment are the pecans. But that’s to be expected. They are the last trees every year to show any sign of spring.
Here’s hoping your St Patrick’s Day is full of good cheer… Y’all enjoy the weekend and I’ll catch y’all on the other side.
