I have an early doctor’s appointment this morning… I guess early is relative. I have to be in Houston but 9:30. That means I have to leave Alvin by about 8:30. By the time I return all my grandkids will be on the road. Both batches are headed for the Hill country for the week. Lake Buchanan… Just across the highway from my favorite state park… Inks Lake.
I’ve always been a big fan of granite. And that particular part of the Texas Hill country his field with exposed granite. The llano uplift…
Well, that means the house will be quiet all week long.
So on that note… Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray… Pray for the nation in the world.
Well, at least we’re not yet at 90/90… But it’s coming. It’s interesting that you mentioned Inks Lake. I’ve bumped into that name in several places over the past six months, and I’d never heard of it. It seems wise to add it to my “to be visited” list.
It’s the only constant level lake on the Colorado River. And the small State Park is really nice.
