It’s a wonderfully mild morning on the back porch. A bit breezy, a little bit cool, with the promise of warmth later in the day. There’s an overcast that bodes well for a colorful sunrise…

The morning light goes through color shifts as the sun approaches the horizon from below. The clouds give it a canvas to paint upon. It’s almost like watching one of Gary’s RedTree paintings coming to life writ large.

Even the traffic sounds from the bypass seem subdued out of reverence of the immense beauty of the dawning day.

And then the light shifts again…

As my very own Redtree begins to dominate the view…

As the sun continues it’s journey towards daylight, the colors spread all the way across the sky… from horizon to horizon…

It’s a beautiful way to start the day. In the quiet of nature’s very own painting. Until, finally, the sun is up and the color is gone…

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and pray for our nation and the world. Wear your damn masks. Think about your fellow Americans…
