In order to enjoy this beautiful fall morning on the back porch I had to break out the big umbrella. The stand has managed to get itself broken, but that’s ok, it works great laid over on it’s side…

The morning flight of whistling ducks keeps getting larger. It appeared almost two dozen strong this morning. Almost immediately after they passed over, one returned alone. I’ve noticed this pattern of behavior before.

The neighborhood crows are on the ground next door. One large black specimen sits on the top of the pine tree playing lookout.

Our hummingbirds are back down to our resident population. I’ve seen no indication yet that they are increasing with a new wave of migrants.

Sunday mornings are such peaceful times. Traffic noise is light enough to not intrude. The occasional train whistle is more a pleasant diversion than an intrusion. Even the clunking noise the crow lookout is making is a diversion from normality.

Well, the morning is well along. Breakfast is awaiting my labors. My fall allergies are in full swing. And last but not least, my coffee cup is empty. Time to move back into the house.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. Say a little prayer for the health of the President*** and his family, it’s the right thing to do.
