The temperature is down a bit… so is the humidity… a bit. Light clouds are scattered across the sky. It’s late, so the sun beats down unmercifully.

A red-tailed hawk just flew screaming down the right of way. Blue Jays are jaying all around. And strangely, hummingbirds are everywhere.

This is the earliest I can recall the hummingbirds starting to congregate. Usually it’s the end of the month or the first of October before they pile in here to wait for a cool front to ride across the gulf. I think they know something about the weather.

Last night I was browsing YouTube and saw a video about the weather. It seems the models are predicting an early snowstorm to sweep out of Canada this week. Some models even have up to an inch of snow pushing into the Texas panhandle.

So if this cool front they’ve been promising for the last week is really coming… and the hummers are gonna be piling in, I better mix up some more sugar water and put up more feeders.

Now, it’s time to go in and get breakfast… Stay safe, stay healthy, and Pray for our Nation and the world. And, wear the mask… Please, it’s for all our sakes.
