Having a go on the back porch this morning. With an almost cloudless sky and a very bright sun, I won’t be out here very long.

It’s Sunday quiet this morning. No other day of the week has the same ambiance… no traffic sounds from the bypass, no vehicles passing by… just a far off train whistle at a crossing.

The grass in the yard appears to be enjoying the growing season so far… at least it’s really growing.

I’m not hearing a lot from the birds this morning. Mostly just cheeping from the cardinals. Though, now that I said that, I just had a couple of hummingbirds buzz bombing each other at the feeder.

Once again the sky has taken on that wonderful Wedgewood blue. It probably won’t last terribly long before the clouds begin to gather from the gulf. The prognosticators are foretelling of a greater than 50% chance of rain today. Tomorrow’s foretelling is even higher… right now.

The stickiness factor is beginning to rise, so it’s about time to abandon my rocker for the cool, non humid cave that is my living room.

Y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and enjoy another day of summer peace.

9:30 Update

That didn’t take long…
