Father’s Day. It’s been about a quarter century since my Dad passed… sometimes it doesn’t seem that long ago, sometimes it seems like forever. I think about him every now and again and wish I could tell him I loved him.

For myself, I had a #1 Grandpa mug and a nice card from my second set of kids… I can expect to hear from my kids during the day… at some point. My oldest son asked if I was planning to smoke something. My thought was he should be cooking for me.

Well, it’s the day after the summer solstice, and the cool rainy weather from yesterday is anything but. Summer has hit with a vengeance. It’s already 83º and humid, according to the weather site it feels like 93º.

And the clouds off the gulf are moving north. As you can see below…

As usual, the coffee cup is empty. And even though there’s a little bit of a breeze blowing. It’s already warm. So I think I’ll call it a muse… y’all stay safe, stay healthy, and have a joyful day.

  1. Wonderful photos! There’s sunshine outside, but this is the day I have SWORN to get inside chores caught up. At least it’s a change of pace. Happy Father’s Day!

    1. Thanks Linda. Enjoy your indoor time. We already have thunder and lightning with rain showers moving thru.
