Friday, October Twelfth

Dry air settled in, cool but not so cool that the ceiling fans aren’t welcome, morning coffee muses.

There’s a northerly wind blowing this morning. It’s not strong, but, any time a north wind blows I’ll take it…

Now that the neighbor has ridden off on his Harley, the back yard has returned to  the  quietness it usually maintains.

I’m surprised at how few birds I hear out and about. Though. I have a hummingbird on the feeder directly in front of my eyes.

I will be taking advantage of today’s weather to ride my Toro.  Finally getting a handle on the grass growth brought on by the amazing amount of rain last month.

A mockingbird has decided to serenade me now from the top of the cypress tree. It’s a sound that was missing for most of the hottest months of summer.  Now a blue Jay is calling from the woods to the west.

This back porch is already slipping in to winter mode. It’s catching the sun’s heat and pumping up the air temperature. I love that mode when the weather is really cool… today not so much.
