The air is cooler, washed clean by thundershowers last evening, a beautiful morning coffee muses.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not “cool” out, just cooler than the past week. More clouds are heading north from the gulf. The weather prognosticators have even changed their foretelling of things to come. Thunderstorms, a chance they say, today and starting Thursday, for days on end. When I came out of my bedroom, Cameron was sitting watching the YouTubes. When I asked what’s up he said Doctor’s appointment. He and his mom just left…

Every night before bed, I step out on the back porch and stand for just a few minutes. Mainly I’m checking for fireflies and other assorted signs in the night. I usually stand until I see at least one blinking light in the air above the grass. And seldom is the night that I don’t see at least one… nature manages to preserver. I can only wonder… for how long?
Once again, my cup is dry.
Can you believe it? We got no rain beyond a five minute shower yesterday afternoon. While all that was going on last night, it was dry here. Amazing.
We had a couple of short showers in the morning, but, last evening the thunder started and the rain came down once more. It could have been much better with longer showers. But right now I’ll take anything mother nature wants to send our way…
