Corporate Citizens?
This administration is the textbook case for why corporations aren’t people. They aren’t good citizens; by law, their sole mandate is profit, not the public good. Unless their feet are held to the regulatory fire through strict oversight and real consequences, corporate America will simply install foxes to guard the henhouse.

Democracy isn’t a sporting event where we need a winner called at the final whistle. The cynical rush to declare instant results, paired with manipulated voter rolls, misses the point entirely. I’d rather take weeks with paper ballots and get the count right than sacrifice public trust for immediate gratification.

The New Face of the GOP –
Facing predicted midterm losses, the GOP shifted from getting out the vote to scaring out the vote, relying on dire warnings about taxes and national security. While Republican strategists claim Democrats lack a lockstep message to win, watching them abandon high ground to run on fear works just fine for me.
