Today will be radiation treatment #23. That means just 13 more to go…

The weather station on the wall has the outside temperature at 73°. That would be very comfortable for this time of year except that the humidity reading is 99%. After the morning rains yesterday we had a mostly dry afternoon. Lots of rumbling in the near distance off and on all afternoon and evening but not much in the way of precipitation.

Well, the coffee is hot if a little old and the email is calling…

An interesting Op-Ed in the Post this morning. Prof. Markus Prior makes a well thought out argument about the media and the “engaged” consumer. I suppose this could explain in a large degree how sports team owners manage to talk politicians into building new sport cathedrals at taxpayers expense. It is a pretty good argument about why “media bias” probably doesn’t mater. I am not sure I agree, but the argument most likely will hold up. Here is the money quote from the piece…

The danger is not that they are seduced by the views of Ann Coulter or Arianna Huffington but that they don’t know who such people are. And not that they cast more ideologically extreme votes but that they no longer vote at all.
