Somedays I Just Sit Quietly…

Yesterday I spent most of my day in New England (virtually). I started out in Maine the day before. Then it was a day concentrating on New Hampshire and Vermont. As the day changed into evening I was beginning to work on Massachusetts.

Since today is our day for grocery shopping, I’ll just have to see where the wind blows me. But my plan is to work my way south down the Appalachian Mountains just like a southbound thru-hiker on the AT.

I am going through each state site and trying to bring them up to date looks wise while also giving the whole series of sites a consistent feel.

I am finding myself enjoying the process as I once again try and herd the cats that are my online publishing empire. Being able to direct the AI to do a deep dive research into a state and give me a multi page report on the highlights of where I should be concentrating my efforts in each state. While deep research takes more time than the average AI quest, it gives me results that I trust and actually teach me as I go through the info.

It is becoming a well choregraphed dance though. Deep research, generate a interactive web page a report and a podcast, import the report into research NotebookLM project, generate more reports and audios, back into Gemini and import the notebook report to generate illustrations, put it all together in a published article… As an example between this paragraph and the one before this I did all of those steps to produce this page: The Massachusetts Highlands: A Guide to Our Four Mountain Counties

On another note, I am falling in love with the work of Kelly Boesch. I shared one of her videos earlier this week. This one caught my eye/ear because the color pallet said something to my soul. A lot of her work is much more Dali-esk in the surrealistic approach to the world…
